We are hiring a Delivery Planning Coordinator to join our growing logistics and distribution team. This new role is central to ensuring efficient daily deliveries across our network and acts as the key link between customer service and our fleet of drivers.
The Role
As a Delivery Planning Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for scheduling fuel deliveries to homes, farms, and businesses across our service areas. You’ll manage incoming orders, assign routes based on geography and driver capacity, and support real-time adjustments to daily plans. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and has excellent organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and route daily deliveries across multiple depots and territories
- Liaise closely with call centre staff to translate orders into efficient delivery plans
- Monitor driver workloads and delivery capacities to ensure fairness and efficiency
- Respond to changes (e.g. urgent orders, road issues) and adjust schedules in real-time
- Communicate clearly with drivers and internal teams to coordinate day-to-day operations
- Optimise routes to improve delivery performance
- Support reporting and analysis of delivery performance metrics
- Assist in managing customer expectations around delivery timelines
- Assist with other call centre duties as required by the Customer Service Supervisor
What You’ll Need
- Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills
- Strong knowledge of regional geography (particularly Connacht) is an advantage
- Comfortable working with digital routing tools, delivery management systems, and Excel
- Clear communicator with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Experience in logistics, dispatch, transport, or fuel delivery planning is preferred
- Ability to multitask and make quick, informed decisions
